DESCRIPTION:Dr. Tanya Shah will describe her work as a volunteer physician 
 in Gaza — the conditions she found there\, and the ways in which Rotary 
 and ShelterBox are helping to alleviate human suffering in that area.\nTan
 ya Shah is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing as a loc
 um tenens clinician in critical access hospitals across the United States\
 , working in emergency\, inpatient\, and ICU settings. She teaches point-o
 f-care ultrasound and hospital-based procedures nationwide and has worked 
 internationally with Médecins Sans Frontières\, including building ICU c
 apacity in Eswatini\, and subsequently worked with PAMA (Palestinian Ameri
 can Medical Association) providing care in Gaza during an active conflict.
  Shortly after returning from Gaza\, she became critically ill and was int
 ubated for two weeks — an experience that now informs her perspective on
  medicine from both sides of the bed.
