The lunch meeting starts at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. (Doors open at 11:30 a.m.) If you wish to attend, please contact us by noon the preceding Sunday at: ws_rotary@yahoo.com . If you wish to be considered for membership, lunch is complimentary, otherwise the cost is $30.

April 7: Emily Tomita (Ex. Dir) and Hallie Evans (Volunteer Coord) of City Fruit
City Fruit’s Emily Tomita and Hallie Evans shared information about the organization, its mission, and its gleaning program. We partnered with City Fruit on West Seattle Fruit Gleaning Day last September, collecting more than 900 pounds of fruit for the West Seattle and White Center Food Banks.
April 14: Major Roy Wild Salvation Army
Major Roy Wild is General Secretary (second in command) for The Salvation Army Northwest Division, which comprises Washington state, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana. Major Wild also leads and coordinates The Salvation Army in King County.
April 21: Ally Baehr
Ally Baehr, Executive Director of Elizabeth Gregory Home Day Shelter, will share information about transition housing and support programs for women. Elizabeth Gregory Home provides refuge for women who are experiencing homelessness, trauma, or economic insecurity. Ally is a Rotarian at the Kenmore Northshore Club

April 28: Chris Porter, West Seattle Beekeeper

West Seattleite Chris Porter will share information about urban beekeeping, and ways to support pollinators in our midst and preserve our environment. Chris has been a beekeeper for more than a decade.

May 5: Peter Gelpi, Impact Partners UA
Peter Gelpi, Executive Director of Impact Partners Ukraine, a West Seattle resident, will talk about the support his organization provides for vulnerable civilians near the front lines of the largest war in Europe since World War II.

May 19: Gerry Garrison Global Help Network
Gerry Garrison serves with Global Helps Network, a nonprofit organization focused on creating long-term opportunity in underserved communities in India and Nepal.
GHN is partnering to provide RN scholarships for women from marginalized communities, equipping them with professional skills, dignity, and the ability to serve through healthcare. The project reflects Rotary’s commitment to education, health, and sustainable impact, and it has been deeply encouraging to see the lives being changed through this work.
