We meet Tuesdays at West Seattle Golf Course (4470 35th Ave SW)

Lunch starts at 12:00 noon, with the meeting officially beginning at 12:30 PM. The first half-hour includes business and announcements, followed by a speaker or program from 1:00 to 1:30 PM.  If you wish to attend, please contact us by noon the preceding Sunday at: ws_rotary@yahoo.com .  If you wish to be considered for membership, lunch is complimentary, otherwise the cost is $25.

Reggie Daigneault' former faculty member at the South Seattle College Wine Program and moderator of "The Rotary Wine Bus," will discuss the Washington wine industry. Includes wine tasting

April 22:  Congressman Brian Baird (Ret) - National Museum and Center for Service ("NMCFS")

Former US congressman, Brian Baird is the founder and chair of the national Museum and Center for Service (NMCFS). Baird’s vision for the NMCFS was inspired by his experiences traveling to difficult parts of the world and seeing Americans help others. He wanted to honor the spirit of service and all of its forms with a place to celebrate every day people who serve their communities, the nation, and the world. The National Museum and Center for Service will be established near the National Mall in Washington DC.
Baird served as a US Representative for Washington’s third congressional district from 1999 to 2011.

May 6: Jeff Herrmann and Dámaso Rodriguez w/Seattle Rep

Program presented by Seattle Repertory Theater’s Artistic Director, Dámaso Rodriguez and Managing Director Jeffrey Herrmann.

Artistic Director at Seattle Rep since July 2023, Dámaso Rodríguez is a director of new and classic plays with over 100 credits at theaters across the country. Most recently, he concluded a nine-year tenure as Artistic Director of Artists Rep in Portland, Oregon. In prior years, he co-founded L.A.’s Furious Theatre and served as Associate Artistic Director of the Pasadena Playhouse. He is a recipient of awards from L.A. Drama Critics Circle, Back Stage, and the NAACP. Dámaso serves on the Directors Council of the Drama League, the Latinx Theatre Commons Steering Committee, and is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

In May 2014, Jeffrey Herrmann was appointed as the fifth Managing Director in Seattle Rep’s history. Prior to his arrival in Seattle, Jeff served as Managing Director of Washington D.C.’s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company and Producing Director at Perseverance Theatre in Juneau, AK. Jeff started his career in arts administration with the Albany Berkshire Ballet in Pittsfield, MA. Born in upstate NY and raised in West Hartford, CT, Jeff received his B.A. in English at Vassar College and his M.F.A. in Theatre Management at the Yale School of Drama.
